OGY positioning & room interaction
Positioning OGY in a room is a big topic. I’ve personally set them up in so many different ways over time that it’s hard to even count. Today I’d like to focus on one particular setup I tried relatively recently, which gave a very interesting result. And this time, I don’t want to talk about bass — ...

Re: Currently spinning on the CD player
Marcus Miller will have a concert in Poland on July 3rd in Warsaw, dedicated to the memory of Miles Davis — We Want Miles, with the band that originally toured in 1981. I haven’t listened to this in quite some time. I’ve had this CD since the ’90s. I’m listening to it now and I’m absolutely flabberg...

Hello John,
great news,
thank you for sharing your experience.
fine tuning bass volume can be really helpful. I experienced it many times, and this is not just about loudspeakers, but the recordings itself.
All the best

The Rite of Spring: Stravinsky vs. Karajan – A Discussion
Well, sometimes while listening to my records I occasionally ask AI about backgrounds of recordings, times and accompanying circumstances. It is a great use of Artificial Intelligence as it can access various sources instantly and provide context. I am pasting a summary od my conversation about two ...

Re: Full OGYs …with tube amplifiers
Audio Note OTO is build with el 84 tubes.
Never had an opportunity to listen to it but I suppose it should be great match. I very much like the el 84. This tube always sounded good with OGY when tried with other el 84 amps.
The Single Ended version especially should be excellent…

Re: My journey with the OGYs / Full OGYs
From my many interactions with OGYs and e-mail exchanges with OGY owners, it is really revealing how much they like the diversity. But still the big picture that emerges is that OGY appreciates good amplifiers that have a lot of body. Then this translates into fuller sound for the OGY. It matches we...

My small audio cave
I have to admit I am lucky to have one room entirely dedicated to audio. this is my cave and it is living it's own life, as my daughter put it yesterday. It is relatively small 4x4 m with 2,8 m height. Over the years I tried set ups on all walls, and this one is the best sonically. The wall with the...
